Wound Care
When you go home from the hospital, you will have staples bridging the
incision. You may shower using an Aquaguard to cover the incision site and keep it dry
during the shower. Remove it after the shower and keep the area clean and dry.
Activity

Increase walking distance.

Calf swelling or tenderness
Chest pain or shortness of breath
You will need your first post-operative appointment with Dr. Mudiyam in one-two weeks
after being discharged from the hospital to remove your staples. Please call (714) 979-
8981 the day you are discharged from the hospital to schedule this appointment.
